Foreign trade data from euro area is due on Friday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 1.00 am ET, Statistics Finland is slated to issue August consumer prices. Inflation had eased to 0.8 percent in July.

At 3.00 am ET, Spain's final consumer price data is due for August. Inflation is seen at 0.3 percent, in line with flash estimate.

In the meantime, industrial production and current account figures are due from Turkey. Economists forecast production to grow 1.4 percent on month in July, in contrast to a 3.7 percent drop in June.

At 3.30 am ET, Statistics Sweden publishes final GDP data for the second quarter.

At 5.00 am ET, Eurostat is scheduled to issue euro area foreign trade data for July. Economists forecast the trade surplus to fall to EUR 17.5 billion from EUR 17.9 billion in June.
